Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization

In a meeting with the presence of members of the Agriculture, Water, Natural Resources and Environment Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Majles) which was held in the Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization (NRWO/FRWO) Headquarters on Saturday evening, natural resources programs and challenges in the forest, rangeland, desert and watershed management sectors were discussed to achieve an acceptable result and make a progress in advance with like-mindedness and thinking.

Head of NRWO (FRWO) announced that combat desertification is one of the necessities of the country and important NRWO's (FRWO's) priority.

Head of FRWO said: "Protection of forests and rangelands is at the top of the agenda of FRWO, and this year, technical planning and protection plans based on inevitable facts will be carried out with the utmost force."

The authors conclude that limiting Earth's warming will determine survivability for many of Earth's forests.

Due to Iran's environmental conditions which has different types of ecosystems in different regions, each region needs its own protective equipment, and according to the Head of FRWO, the required equipment will be provided from domestic production in current year from April.
