The Minister of Agriculture Jahad elaborated the priority plans of the Ministry of Agriculture Jahad (MAJ) in the field of agriculture and natural resources sectors and stressed the continuity of operations and implementation of Integrated Management of Watershed (IWM) and aquifer recharge projects.

According to FRWO's website, Dr Seyyed Javad Sadati Nejad, the Minister of Agriculture Jahad in an interview with IRIB Amoozesh ( Shibkâh-e Âmuzesh, in Persian "The Education Channel") / an Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting television channel, broadcast in Worldwide stated that over the past years, with the care of the Supreme Leader and the allocated budget of the National Development Fund (NDF), good measures have been taken in the watershed management sector and we will do our best to take effective measures in this sector.

He noted that Ministry of Agriculture Jahad (MAJ) will also try that in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy to share the financial resources of the Ministry of Energy to preserve water and soil resources.

Dr. Sadati Nejad added: "Today, all over the world, the way it works is that people attemp to penetrate water into the ground and store it in aquifers so that farmers can use it downstream. In this way, the rate of evaporation as well as water pollution and soil erosion will be reduced.

He said: "Conservation and sustainable use of natural resources guarantees forest protection and sustainable agricultural production. Water resources are critical and limited resources and global climate change has caused a high limit on water resources. Therefore, we should protect and conserve water and soil resources."
