9 June 2022 - Deputy Minister and Head of Natural Resources and Watershed management Organization (NRWO) in a statement addressed to Vice President and Head of Department of Environment (DoE), environmentalists and environmental activists congratulated on the occasion of National Environment Week.

Mansour's message as follows:

In the Name of God, the compassionate, the merciful

The environment and natural resources, as the vessel of human life and evolution, are God's valuable endowments  that need special attention today more than ever.

Environmental and natural resource crises such as climate change and global warming, successive droughts and increasing dust storms, air, soil and water pollution, and the degradation of forests and rangelands, etc., have global and regional causes and consequences, that have endangered the biological security of countries. Undoubtedly, in order to address such challenges and problem, in addition to improvement of environmental governance system  at international, national and local levels, participation  of all stakeholders including government, private and non-governmental organizations and people in general  in conservation of biological resources are inevitable.

I, along with my colleagues working at Natural Resources and Watershed management Organization (NRWO), congratulate Dr. Ali Selajgeh, Head of DoE and his colleagues, especially rangers and environmental activists, National Environment Week with the theme, "Community-based, smart and technological environment".

I hope that the activities of the two sister organizations (DoE and NRWO) will increase the healthy life of our citizens and the greenery of our Islamic homeland.

Masoud Mansour,

Deputy Minister and Head of Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization (NRWO)
